As an innovator who enjoys discovery, research and science, Dr. Timothy Hyatt loves to create and improve products that help people. Hyatt obtained his doctorate in naturopathic medicine at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 2006. His undergraduate work was done at George Fox University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1989. After college, he began working in the biotech industry with a company called Epitope where he was positioned to be directly involved in product development, shipping, research, sales and marketing.
Hyatt credits his curiosity and work ethic to his parents who raised him and his brothers on a 32-acre near Grants Pass. In high school he learned how to rise up from the ashes and start over when a house fire destroyed everything his family owned. It was his frustration with conventional medicine?s treatment of his mother when she came down with a life-ending chronic illness that turned Hyatt?s thoughts to alternative medicine.
Hyatt?s intention during medical training was to launch and run his own corporation, and several months after beginning his ?clinical practice in Newberg, Oregon he began sowing seeds that would later germinate into product ideas. His first product idea was an amino acid formula that heals brain-based disorders and, in late 2011, after moving his practice to Sherwood, Oregon, he founded Biogenic Nutrition, LLC with Christopher Behnke, Jake Morton, and Jeff Green. Hyatt currently serves as the company?s president, leading a talented group of individuals whose goal is to formulate products that make a difference in peoples lives.
